Since 1857 generous donors have made an astounding impact on UIU through their charitable gifts. The Alumni Office is working hard to continue building that culture of giving.

Our fiscal year 2021 goal is to raise $2,000,000 in charitable gifts by June 30, 2021.
As of April 27, 2021 we are proud to report $901,600 has been received. We are extremely thankful for our generous alumni, friends of the University and corporate partners who have contributed thus far, pushing us toward our goal.

Recurring Gifts
One-time set up. Long-term impact! Recurring gifts provide an easy way for UIU contributors to document and schedule their charitable intentions. Our simple recurring gifts process eliminates costly reminder mailings and assists the University in its planning for charitable giving. Much like a monthly subscription to Netflix or Hulu, we would like gifts to UIU to come with ease.

Recurring gifts using a credit or debit card may also be scheduled utilizing the Online Gift Form.
Giving Priorities
UIU Fund – Supports a wide variety of initiatives from educational resources to student experiential learning activities to faculty/staff development. Gifts are directed to wherever the need/opportunity is greatest within the University.
Enhance UIU Fund – Supports priority Fayette Campus capital projects as well as equipment and technology needs at all locations.
Forever UIU Fund – Grows UIU’s unrestricted endowment, providing a perpetual and flexible source of revenue for pressing needs. Those contributing to the Forever UIU Fund are making an investment in UIU’s future.
General Scholarships – Critical toward student financial aid, plus they support University recruitment and retention efforts.
Faculty & Staff Giving
We are proud to report that more than 62% of UIU Employees made a contribution to Upper Iowa last fiscal year. This is a true testament to the loyalty and devotion to UIU by our outstanding team members.
Those who wish to show their support on a recurring basis can easily do so through a monthly payroll deduction. To initiate this type of contribution, please complete the Gift by Payroll Deduction Authorization Form.
Celebrate UIU Day
Big thanks to everyone who participated in Celebrate UIU Day by sharing stories, memories, and fun photos of their time as a Peacock. And true to the generous spirit of our UIU Family, we also secured 531 donations totaling $94,914.

Class Gift
The growth of Upper Iowa University is greatly supported by generous donors and alumni who value and cherish this great institution. The Class Gift initiative was developed as a way to encourage students to embrace a philanthropic spirit and begin leaving their legacy upon graduation.

Peacock Athletic Fund
UIU Athletics has a tradition of providing student-athletes with opportunities to excel in the classroom, competition and in life. The Peacock Athletic Fund (PAF) provides student-athletes with the best possible resources to maximize their potential. The financial support of alumni, family, friends and fans of UIU student-athletes is vital to competing in the NSIC, MIAA, GLIAC and NCAA Division II.
