At the UIU Clinic, student health services are provided by Mayo Clinic Health System and Winneshiek Medical Center.

The UIU Clinic staff are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, either in person or via telehealth/phone nurse. Call 563-425-5500 to schedule an appointment.

The Upper Iowa University Student Health Services Clinic is available to students only (BOLD TEXT). If you are a member of the community and would like to make an appointment with a Mayo Clinic Health System provider, please call 563-382-2911. Winneshiek Medical Center has clinics in Decorah, Ossian and Mabel, MN to meet your needs.

Scott Bohner, D.O.

Member of Mayo Clinic Health System and Winneshiek Medical Center since 2017

Dr. Bohner graduated from Central College in Pella, IA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University, and completed his internship and residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines.

Dr. Bohner provides full-spectrum family medicine care, from birth through retirement, with special interest in sports medicine and pediatrics.

Rick Wilkerson, D.O.

Member of Mayo Clinic Health System and Winneshiek Medical Center since 2019

Dr. Wilkerson is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. His orthopedic surgery training was completed at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.

Dr. Wilkerson is an experienced, proven orthopedic surgeon who has special interest in joint replacements and sports medicine surgical care.  He performs hip, knee and shoulder replacements, all sports medicine procedure including ACL reconstruction surgery, pediatric orthopedic surgery, hand procedures, fracture repair and many more procedures.

John Evelsizer Olson, PA-C Family Medicine and Orthopedics

Member of Winneshiek Medical Center since 2016

John received his Bachelor of Science degree from Montana State University – Bozeman, and his Master of Science from University of Colorado – Boulder.  In 2010, he completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Colorado in Denver.
